You don't need to install Nacon's software. For gyro aiming in FPS games, I was able to turn down the smoothing to even less than the default, which I had turned way up before to make my standard PS4 controller useable. I haven't had to recalibrate it since it arrived a week ago, whereas I need to do that about every other day with my standard PS4 controller. They do work, just leave it as a PS4 controller. I'm guessing that is why some people claimed that the motion controls don't work on PC. Plus, if it's acting like an Xbox controller, you don't get the gyro or touchpad. There is no need to do that though, since Steam is already handling the PS4 -> XB1 compatibility. If you change the mode switch on the back to "PC," Steam will detect it as an Xbox One controller.I agree with what other reviewers have said about this controller (feels solid, less customization than other premium controllers, back buttons are hard to reach), but I'll leave that to more in-depth reviews and just mention some Steam/PC-specific points that weren't touched on by PS4 reviewers.
